Chapter 6 Overview

Chapter 6 is titled 'Special Equipment' and covers details of electrical installations that are specific to equipment and systems that have unique characteristics that are specific to them. The purpose of this chapter is to prevent explosions, fires, electrical shocks and burns, electrocution, interference with other functions of a building, and/or premature degradation of materials.

The model shows an escalator which is one type of special equipment in this chapter.
