Appendices in the code are lettered A through T and cover a range of different topics. Some are purely explanatory information, with graphs, charts, diagrams, or similar to explain the intent and application of code language; some are regulations for specialized types of construction or uses that don't fit neatly within the base code, such as radon control, patio covers, home daycare, vehicle gates, and strawbale construction; and some are administrative in nature, such as a permit fee system. The code language clearly dictates that appendices must be specifically referenced to be considered legally adopted.
