Section 905.4.2 is titled 'Deck slope' and covers requirements for roof coverings. A limitation of metal shingles to roofs with a minimum slope is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent water damage to the building.

The model shows a section of roof framing and sheathing changing from flat to a 12/12 slope, and a display indicating when metal shingles may and may not be used.
