Section 905.3.2 is titled 'Deck slope' and covers requirements for roof coverings. A limitation of clay and concrete tiles to roofs with a minimum slope, as well as a requirement for double underlayment for a certain slope range in accordance with a cross-referenced section of this code is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent water damage to the building.

The model shows a section of roof framing and sheathing changing from flat to a 12/12 slope, and a display indicating when clay and concrete tiles may and may not be used, as well as when double underlayment is required.
