R905.16

Section R905.16 is titled 'Photovoltaic shingles' and covers the requirements for photovoltaic shingles used as a roof covering. This section does not contain technical language, but the requirement to follow its subsections, another section of this code, and another code is established. The purpose of this section is to protect the structure from weather, prevent roof coverings from detaching from the roof assembly, as well as fires, electric shock, and electrocution.
