R903.4

Section R903.4 is titled 'Roof drainage' and covers the requirements for removing water from roofs. A requirement for draining water from roofs is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure and protect the structure from weather. (This section does not require gutters at the edge of sloped roofs.)
