Section R903.1 is titled 'General' and covers the requirements for roof assemblies. A requirement for protection of roof decks by a roof covering secured to the structure in accordance with this chapter, and for roof assemblies to be installed in accordance with this code and the manufacturer's installation instructions is established. The purpose of this section is to protect the structure from weather.
