Section R805.1 is titled 'Ceiling Finishes' and covers the requirements for interior ceiling finishes. A cross-reference to another section of this code, by which ceiling finishes must be installed is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure of ceiling finishes and to slow the spread of fire.
