R802.1.5.9

Section R802.1.5.9 is titled 'Interior applications' and covers requirements for roof-ceiling construction. The requirement for fire-retardant-treated wood used for roof-ceiling construction which is exposed to the interior to have a maximum moisture content, to be tested in accordance with other sections of this code, and where it has a certain designation to be tested in accordance with this section is established. The purpose of this section is to slow the spread of fire.
