Section R703.7 is titled 'Exterior plaster (stucco)' and covers the requirements for the installation of plaster on the outside of exterior walls. A cross-reference to 2 standards and this code for the installation of exterior plaster is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent exterior plaster from detaching from the wall framing and premature degradation from water intrusion through exterior walls into a building.
