R609.2

Section R609.2 is titled 'Performance' and covers the requirements for the wind load performance of windows and doors in exterior walls. The design wind load an exterior window or door must be able to withstand via cross-reference to other tables of this code or another standard, and an allowance for cross-reference to another code, where the glazing is not part of a labeled assembly is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural and operational failure of a window or door.
