R608.7.2.2.3

Section R608.7.2.2.3 is titled 'Vertical shear reinforcement' and covers requirements for wall construction. The requirement for exterior concrete solid wall segments which may contribute to the total length required by another section of this code to have vertical reinforcement of a minimum size if reduction factors for design strength are used, for the grade to be in accordance with another section of this code, for spacing to be a maximum dimension, and to terminate in accordance with another section of this code is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
