Section R606.4.1 is titled 'Minimum thickness' and covers requirements for wall construction. The requirement for masonry walls to be a minimum thickness, dependent on number and height of stories, and for lateral support in accordance with another section in this code is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
