Section R606.2.12 is titled 'Grout' and covers requirements for wall construction. The requirement for grout to be mixed in accordance with a standard or table in this code, and allowance for certain types of mortar to be used as grout provided sufficient water is added to the mixture is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
