Section R606.11 is titled 'Anchorage' and covers requirements for wall construction. The requirement for masonry walls to be anchored to floors and roofs in accordance with figures in this code, and allowance for footings to be considered as lateral support is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
