R605 Overview

Section R605 is titled 'Particleboard' and covers the requirements for the construction of particleboard panels which are sheets of manufactured wood used in non-structural applications. Within the subsections, identification and grade is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.

The model shows two sheets of particleboard which is an assembly of glued, heated, and pressed together small pieces of wood. Common use for particleboard is sub-flooring (non-structural) and cabinet/furniture construction.
