R603.9.5.1

Section R603.9.5.1 is titled 'Seismic design category C' and covers requirements for wall construction. The requirement for the length of wall sheathing for cold-formed steel walls supporting only one story, roof, and a ceiling, to be the greater of amounts required by another section of this code, or the allowance for another section to be utilized is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
