R507.9.1.4

Section 507.9.1.4 is titled 'Alternate ledger details' and covers requirements for deck construction. The allowance for different framing arrangements supporting a ledger which conform to another section of this code is established. The purpose of this section is to clarify that ledger support framing other than those arrangements provided for prescriptively in this section are allowed, provided it conforms to fundamental loading requirements of this code.
