Section R322.2.4 is titled 'Tanks' and covers requirements for flood-resistant construction. The requirement to install underground and above-ground tanks in such a manner as to prevent movement and collapse under flood conditions is established. The purpose of this section is to limit damage and loss to buildings and structures due to flooding, which are constructed in areas prone to such.

The model shows an above-ground tank with highlighted leg anchors which prevent flotation and lateral movement in the event of a flood.
