R322.2.2

Section R322.2.2 is titled 'Enclosed area below design flood elevation' and covers requirements for flood-resistant construction. A limitation on the use of enclosed space below the design flood elevation, and the requirement to provide flood openings with specific criteria and which also conform to another section of this code is established. The purpose of this section is to limit damage and loss to buildings and structures due to flooding, which are constructed in areas prone to such.
