Section R321.3 is titled 'Accessibility' and covers requirements for elevators and platform lifts. A cross-reference to another code which elevators and platform lifts must comply with if they are part of an accessible route required by a cross-reference from another code is established. The purpose of this section is to mandate that elevators and platform lifts that are part of a required accessible route comply with a specific code.
