R318.1.1

Section R318.1.1 is titled 'Quality mark' and covers requirements for protection of wood and wood-based products from termite damage. The requirement for pressure-preservative-treated wood used for termite protection, as required by a cross-referenced section of this code, to be marked by the inspection agency which assures the wood is treated in accordance with a standard is established. The purpose of this section is to assure treated wood used for termite protection is readily identifiable for its intended purpose.
