Section R316.6 is titled 'Specific approval' and covers requirements for foam plastics. The requirement to follow other listed testing standards for foam plastics, where they don't conform with other cross-referenced sections of this code, and that performed tests shall be done on a finished assembly based on actual end-use configuration, including seams, joints, and other details is established. The purpose of this section is to be a catchall for foam plastics which are used for other purposes not intended to be covered by other sections of this code.
