Section R316.5.12 is titled 'Sheathing' and covers requirements for foam plastics. A cross-reference to 2 different sections of this code which foam plastics used as sheathing must comply, a cross-reference to another section of this code where foam plastic sheathing exposed at attic gable or kneewalls must comply, and a cross-reference to another section of this code where foam plastic sheathing used on exterior framed wall assemblies must comply is established. The purpose of this section is to require foam plastic used as sheathing and in certain specific conditions to comply with listed sections of this code.
