R311.7.10

Section R311.7.10 is titled 'Special stairways' and covers requirements for spiral and bulkhead stairways. A cross-reference to the another section of this code which mandates requirements for all stairways, and a cross-reference to subsections which are specific to spiral and bulkhead stairways, overriding the requirements of the main section is established. The purpose of this section is to reduce trip and fall hazards.
