Part VII Overview

Part VII, which contains chapters 25 through 33, is titled 'Plumbing' and covers plumbing systems which serve a range of purposes, including but not necessarily limited to, potable water supply, water heating, sanitary drainage, landscape irrigation, storm water drainage, and non-potable water systems. This part provides requirements for the safe installation of plumbing to prevent the spread of disease, scalding, and noxious fumes from entering a dwelling, as well as water conservation techniques.

The model shows a laundry sink and water heater. The water heater must also meet the requirements of chapter 24 since it is fueled by natural gas.
