Section N1102.4 is titled 'Air leakage (Mandatory)' and covers requirements for energy efficiency. The requirement to follow subsections which detail requirements for preventing conditioned air leakage is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent energy inefficiency which occurs from uncontrolled conditioned air transfer to the exterior of the building.

The model shows several partial building elements which are covered by subsections to prevent air leakage.
