Section N1101.14 is titled 'Certificate (Mandatory)' and covers requirements for energy efficiency. The requirement to create and install a certificate which contains specific information about energy related elements used in the construction of the building is established. The purpose of this section is to provide readily accessible information for the end-user about the energy elements of the original construction (presumably compliant) so that future modifications or updates to the building may more easily be researched, designed, and altered compliantly for energy efficiency.
