R1006.3

Section R1006.3 is titled 'Clearance' and covers requirements for providing combustion air into fireplaces. The requirement for the combustion air duct to maintain a minimum clearance from combustible materials for a portion of it's length is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent the building from catching fire.
