R1003.10

Section R1003.10 is titled 'Wall thickness' and covers requirements for masonry chimneys. The requirement for a masonry chimney to be constructed of certain materials which shall be a minimum nominal thickness is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure and the building from catching fire.
