Chapter 4 Overview

Chapter 4 is titled 'Fixtures, Faucets and Fixture Fittings' and covers a wide range of different types of fixtures, each with their unique functions and attributes. The purpose of this chapter is to prevent interference to other building systems from plumbing system installations, spread of disease, inhalation and contact hazards, scalding, explosions, fire, and premature degradation of plumbing system components, as well as to provide requirements for minimum facilities, general convenience, accessible features, privacy, water conservation, and an efficacious and efficient system.
