Chapter 27 Overview

Chapter 27 is titled 'Electrical' and covers electrical systems. This chapter cross references the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70 standard, better known as the National Electrical Code, for most of the technical language, with a small portion provided directly in this chapter. The purpose of this chapter is to provide requirements for the safe installation of electrical systems to prevent fire, shock hazards, and electrocution as well as to require emergency and standby systems for specific uses or equipment within a building.
